Blacksand 2 Hits

The initial Blacksand release had several problems with its installation scripts, specifically pertaining to the bootloader setup. Although there is still room for improvement on the bootloader setup, many problems have been sorted over the past couple days. This second release of Blacksand is primarily a hotfix of those problems. For those comfortable, please download it at http://development.yoper.com/inside/YOS-2.91-BLACKSAND-02.iso and give us some feedback in the forums and our Bugtracker. Thanks!

Yoper 3.0 - Blacksand Released!

The team, together with lead-developer Tobias Gerschner, are proud to announce the start of the public beta-testing phase of Yoper 3.0. After rewriting all internal scripts, the inclusion of the Kanotix hardware-detection, a completely overhauled command line installer, a brand new GUI-installer (written from scratch) and several internal (and thus unannounced) alpha-releases, the time for public beta-testing has come. The ~ 630 MB ISO-file includes Kernel 2.6.15, Xorg 6.8.2, etcnet, KDE 3.5.0, Koffice, Firefox 1.5, Thunderbird 1.5 and lots of other cutting-edge packages. Please view the link to the full announcement for download information, known bugs, and additional FAQ.

Minor Yoper Website Update

Several usability tweaks were made to the website. The updates were significant enough to cause display errors if you have the website cached. If you're top navigation area looks funny (links stacked vertically) then you probably just need to hit refresh in your browser (F5).

Yoper Website Updated

With the website changes a few months ago, time was of the essence. There were a few browser compatibility problems that needed to be worked out. Since we're past settled in with our new space it was time for an update to correct these changes. The Yoper Team has tested the new layout amongst ourselves and it seems solid. Please report any errors you might have in the Bugtracker, http://www.yoper.com/bugtracker Thanks!
